Wires at the dinnertable ((Micah)) Empty
PostSubject: Wires at the dinnertable ((Micah))   Wires at the dinnertable ((Micah)) Icon_minitimeWed Jun 27, 2012 8:08 am

Eowyn had made her way to the dining pavillion with the rest of the Hermes cabin and now sat, quietly eating her dinner. Although she was tired (who could sleep with all the noise in that cabin) she wasn't very unhappy. Eowyn enjoyed night and it's many comforts. Silence was supposed to be one of them but with a large amount of demigods in a too small cabin, that just doesn't work out well. Eowyn was silent and kept to herself while most of the cabin just blabbered around to each other. The usual thing. Eowyn just sat still, eating her dinner and not caring that she was possibily being ignored.

Eowyn wasn't trying to get any attention, she didn't want to like camp. The entire learning how to fight was nice enough but there was one thing she missed about this rather primitive camp. Wires. Well, wires and electric currents, her favorite things to play with. She didn't care about the danger and enjoyed taking the risks. She'd done it often enough, although using the swimming pool of her previous school to transportate an electric current had not been the best idea, although the results mentioned that more than any possible regrets she might have. The wires worked a lot better than the water had, which explained her love for wires once again.

Eowyn pulled one of her short wires out and started making knots, undoing them and making them again. She variated often in which knots she used but ended up being bored in the end. She wanted to play with her wires or perhaps gather enough to make a copper net. That should be perfect for electrifying monsters, although she doubted she'd be able to make a fairly safe conduct for the electricity into the woods. It was worth a try at least, she had enough isolated wire to test, although she'd need a lot more to make such a plan work. While contemplating this, the young girl didn't notice that somebody had sat down next to her, a fairly rare thing as people tended to avoid her a bit. She looked at the other person suspiciously. "Well hello. How nice of you to join." She said sweetly, although not sincere at all. She was a troubled child after all. She sighed and poked her fork into her meal again as she looked at the boy who had joined her. She would try to introduce herself and see what came of it. "I'm Eowyn by the way." She said, sounding a tad bit bored, the poking of her food adding to that image.

He had made through another day. That was an upside. Now he had to be social. That was a downside. Micah had silently trailed behind the rest of his cabin as they rotated between activity's, and had now followed them to the dining pavillion, where demi-gods munched contently on their food. With a down cast gaze, the boy wove between fellow campers, dodging the wrestling Ares children and nearly tripping over his own feet, managing to save his food and his dignity by regaining balance at the last second. The Hermes table was crowded (when was it not), overly so, and it seemed as though he'd have to squish between a pair of squabbling teenagers. Shuddering at the thought, Micah glanced around in one last attempt to find a better place to sit, nearly sighing in relief when his inverted gaze locked upon an empty seat beside a girl who seemed neutral enough. Being the socially awkward person he was, the ebony haired boy just stood where he was a moment longer, before weighing his options and deciding that maybe having to say 'hi' would be better than being yelled at from both sides while two cabin-mates fought.

Trying not to notice the wire she had pulled out (that seemed kind of dangerous, but it wasn't his place to judge), Micah quietly sat himself down, setting down his meal infront of him. Averting his eyes from her suspicious look, he began prodding half-heatedly at the food on his place, cringing when word's directed at him invaded his thoughts. "Well hello. How nice of you to join." She had said. With a sheepish smile, he finally met her gaze, eyebrows slightly raised in worry. "I'm Eowyn by the way."

Micah…” He replied quietly, looking to where Eowyn was poking her food with a blank stare. “It’s, um, nice to meet you.” Micah said after a minute of silence, in turn beginning to eat his meal in tiny forkfuls.

((Sorry about the all of a sudden small font, I have know idea what happened x.x I just know it won't go back to normal.))

Wires at the dinnertable ((Micah)) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Wires at the dinnertable ((Micah))   Wires at the dinnertable ((Micah)) Icon_minitimeTue Jul 10, 2012 2:11 am

((Oh my Gods, I totally didn't see this was up untill just yet, soooo sorry))

Eowyn looked at the boy who'd sat beside her. He seemed to be one of those types who had some trouble with social contact rather than one of those semi-popular types who could make friends with anybody that didn't stab them in the gut. Eowyn wasn't much for harming people though, she was one for sarcastic comments and solitude. Yet Eowyn found it dreary to sit next to people and ignore them. It was just weird and a little socialising hardly hurt. So she had talked and the boy had responded. With only his name. Nothing more. Eowyn rolled her eyes at the table and pushed her plate toward the center of the table, not really hungry in the first place. "So Micah." She said when the he had said it was nice to meet her, which she actually doubted. "Had a nice day?" She asked, turning toward him now. Dinner was obligated but since she'd had a bite or three she figured that she'd done what had been asked. Now her time was her own untill she could actually get away with leaving the dinner table.

Micah didn't seem really terrible company so she might actually stick around for a change. Yet her attention was still mainly with her wires. Eowyn picked one of her non-isolated wires, the dangerous ones. She twisted two smaller wires into one bigger one and shaped it into a tunnel of sorts. If you were to run a current through it, you'd get a minor magnetic field. Eowyn, however, had nothing to create said currently and so she just put them down and grabbed some new wires and built a minature snare on the table, using a bended fork as tree. The only thing her snare would catch was a finger of a person stupid enough to trigger the snare in the first place. Satisfied she turned back to Micah again. "Are you sitting here because Hermes claimed you or because your parent has failed to claim you so far?" She asked, not trying to sound blunt, even though she probably did.

To Eowyn being unclaimed wasn't an issue, to other people it was. She just hoped she didn't say such a thing to an unclaimed Ares kid, that would get her in enough trouble because those kids were aggresive long before they got claimed. It was one of those things pointing people in the direction where they knew who the parent was long before the unclaimed person did. Sometimes the guessers were surprised but quite often, their guesses were better than expected. That might be one of the reasons that people in the Hermes cabin liked placing bets on claimings. Ten dollars if that person gets claimed by Ares. Twenty if that one turns out to be an Athenian. Five if that one isn't child of a minor god and so forth. It was silly and cruel but it did create a nice gambling pot, which the sons of Hermes probably liked a little too much.
